50 Cent labeled his music with a great phrase that I will forever use throughout my life to explain hardcore, street and gangster rap, and that my friends is “Aggressive Content.” Just hearing that pairing of words with no context in which they are describing lets you know things are about to get real, attach that to rap music, and well there ya have it. Buffalo, NY reppers, Westside Gunn & Conway definitely fit the mold of “aggressive content.” Peep game.
If you are out there complaining about how the game is soft and nobody is making authentic, NY street music, well you sir or madam apparently need to get on these dudes’ wave ASAP. They have been buzzing so hard that they inked a label partnership with non other than Eminem. I’m quite sure Slim Shady himself wouldn’t broker a deal with any artist who he doesn’t thoroughly believe in talent wise, and these two dudes fit the bill with not only their talent, but the “Aggressive Content” label. To get a taste of what these two can deliver, peep their collabo they did with Terminology for Statik Selektah’s newest album entitled “No. 8.”
