Due to the fact I had no rooting interest really in last night’s game, I was mostly focusing on the Super Bowl halftime performance, with this year’s being done by the great, Justin Timberlake. “The powers that be,” seemed to be keeping JT off the Super Bowl halftime stage ever since his breasticle fiasco with Janet Jackson. Well as they say, time heals all wounds, and he got the opportunity to do the halftime show this Super Bowl.
With the release of his new album, “Man Of The Woods,” this last Friday, it was a great way to promote a few cuts off that album, plus go through a medley of all of his hits, which is quite a many. Being that the Super Bowl game was in Minneapolis, MN, home of the late great Prince, you almost had to figure Timberlake would pay homage to the iconic artist, which he did. I thought it was tasteful enough, it’s hard to pay homage to such an iconic figure, but I thought they did a pretty good job.
All in all, I thought Justin Timberlake’s halftime performance was very good, definitely not the best one I’ve seen over the years, but it’s up there. Check out the full Justin Timberlake Super Bowl halftime performance below. #YaDig
