Lacoste has been an iconic clothing brand for many moons.  Their trademark alligator on their polos and such have created a pinpoint branding staple that separates the giants in the #Wave world apart from their counterparts.  Recently, Lacoste has decided to do away with the alligator on their polos, but with a righteous cause behind it.

Lacoste has teamed up with the International Union for Conservation of Nature to release a limited edition run of their polo shirts, featuring 10 different endangered species.  At 183 dollars at retail, the asking price can definitely been seen as aggressive for the average consumer, but with the proceeds going to animal conservation, I think it’s a very just cause.

The bad part with this being a limited edition run, is that the 1,775 shirts they made are more than likely all sold out, so you know the hype beast resale regime will have a field day with this one.  Regardless, this is a very cool way to pay homage to our animal friends, and to raise money and awareness. #YaDig  Hit this article to find out more information about Lacoste’s conscious collaboration with the IUCN.
