After the Jay-Z/Nas beef, Nas had awaken from his few album slumber to regain some of the traction he had during the release of his first two albums.  After the release of Stillmatic, the Queensbridge MC hit us over the head with another quality album in the form of, God’s Son.  The lead single for that project, “Made You Look,” was very good in its original state, and Nasir made matters better by acquiring Jadakiss and Ludacris for the official remix.

During this time in Hip Hop, the South still wasn’t getting the respect it deserved on the national scene, we were a little ways away from Lil Jon and the Crunk movement blowing the door wide open for what was to come from the states Atlanta, Texas and Florida, predominately.  Ludacris did a little foreshadowing though with his contribution to this record.  Dropping his verse after 2 living legends, he had a tough act to follow, but not only did he follow it, he put his Southern stamp on it, showing his charisma and lyricism which has cemented him as an all time great to this day.

Ludacris is focusing mainly on film and other business endeavors nowadays, but recently he stated that he would be making more music and an album soon.  If the new content is anything like his verse on “Made You Look Remix,” I think we are in store for a quality release.  Check out the “Made You Look Remix” below, am I crazy, or did Luda do the damn thing and one up both Nas and Jadakiss on this joint?  Comment below.
