Dhat Boy Val strikes again, only a few days after of his feature on #TheFochshole.  This particular song hits home for me, personally.  I had a very strong relationship with my Grandma on my mother’s side (I never met my other side of the family so I could never build that connection with the other Grandma) and she passed away from cancer my senior year in high school.  It was a very dark time for the Fochsman, but I have grown since then and I will always cherish and honor my Grams and the relationship she had with my family and I.

Val’s latest record pays homage not only to his grandma, but is an apology of sort for the things he had to do to survive growing up behind her back.  I feel bad for the people who did not have a strong grandma in their life, often times, grandmothers are the rock, the cornerstone of the family.  Dhat Boy Val found a creative way to honor her, and also explain the trials and tribulations he dealt with growing up.  Check out the record below, and make sure to keep an eye out for his new project, Lovers And Friends on June 2nd!
