The Crunk era, still to this day, was one of my favorite eras in music.  The high octane, club-based records that Lil Jon and his dirty south cohorts, the East Side Boyz created are still a pinnacle piece of any club DJ’s set.  One of the records that got this movement moving into national acclaim was “Bia Bia,” featuring Too Short, Ludacris and Chyna White.  The bassline in this record, to this day, is still one of my all-time favorites.

The energy this record omitted when I first heard it in the early 2000’s was captivating.  I was immediately embodied by the power of the overall track, which has great features, might I add.  Lil Jon would go on to captivate the game with his crunk sound for well over half a decade, and in my opinion, one of the main architects of the Dirty South sound, overall.  You can catch this joint below, what is your favorite Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz song?  There is so many of them, but I would have to pick “Grand Finale,” because the features on that record were intense.  Comment your favorite below!
